From suffering and frail to healed and strong.
After 18 years as a vegan(raw, high carb, cooked, whole food, processed vegan). Tried everything to nourish myself without harm, what I didn’t realize, I was harming myself.
Crohn’s Disease, 3 Small Bowel Resections, Celiac, Eating Disorder and lastly Severe Iron Deficiency Anemia requiring regular infusions.
I tried everything to heal myself. Everything except eating Animal Products.
I owe a huge debt of gratitude to one of my wonderful yoga teachers and mentor Kiki Flynn. She basically outed that she had been eating meat for 2 years and almost immediately healed her body and mind.
I listened to her, really listened.
Admittedly, it was very hard to unwrap my head from my vegan mindset.
I began with pasture raised eggs and literally overnight I felt better!. I added grass fed butter, fatty fish and liver pate. I could actually practice yoga again! No joint pain and more energy.
4 months in and I’m enjoying rib eyes, filet, bone marrow and lard! I cannot believe how amazing I feel.
I want to tell everyone! At 54 years young and post menopausal, my body feels and looks better than when I was in my 20’s.
I have lost some body fat and gained some much needed muscle which was a nice surprise.
