My name is Chandler (29 years of age) and I have been following a Carnivore diet since March of 2020. Prior to my transition onto a an animal based diet, I began a ketogenic way of eating and implemented different fasting techniques following a diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease at the age of 26 in 2018. Having been diagnosed in 2013 with chronic Lyme disease and multiple co-infections including Babesia, Bartonellosis as well as PANDAS (Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropyschiatric Disorder) – the finding of fatty liver disease was not a shock for me with my already impaired immune system. While I recovered enough from my bout of Lyme disease to resume my normal life, almost two years later, I knew my overall health would never be the same, or so I thought.
My father, now Carnivore for a few years, encouraged me for months to follow in his footsteps in an attempt to regain control of my health and reverse my fatty liver disease. His persistence finally paid off and was exactly the motivation I needed to improve myself, not just health wise, but as a person. At the start of my low carb journey in 2018 I stood at 5’10” and 207 pounds – a person I did not recognize as my old self. Slowly I began to see progress and chose to incorporate fasting into my new lifestyle before ultimately moving onto a meat based diet. While my height stayed the same, I now weigh in at 148 pounds with no elevated liver markers or fatty liver disease. I was now in better health than my years as a 175 pound competitive cyclist in high school!
My journey over the past almost 3 years, was the most difficult and rewarding experience I have ever had. As both a MeatRx fasting and carnivore coach, I want to now help motivate you to create a new chapter in your life towards improved health. I look forward to meeting you and to hearing your story!
An overview of my health issues I have dealt with include: GI Distress, persistent Vasovagal Syncope, hypertension, Lyme Disease, Babesia, Bartonellosis, PANDAS, Brain Fog, Back Pain w/ radiculopathy (ongoing but managing)
